About credits

Generating AI content is a wonderful way to get new, unique copy. We are very proud of the AI system, and we are glad that we can offer it to you so it can help you with your copy the same way its helped us. However, running and maintaining the AI is a complicated and very expensive project. To manage this, we need to use the credits system.

What are credits?

Simply put, credits are used to generate AI content. Each credit represents an amount of AI power. You have a certain amount of credits. Every time you generate content with the AI, one or multiple credits are subtracted from your total. When you're out of credits, you can not generate any more AI content until you've got new credits on your account.

Your total amount of available credits is shared across all types of AI content.

This credit system is only used when generating AI Copy and AI Landing Page content. Content in the Template, Document and Inspiration categories does not require credits to use.

Note: the AI generator offers two AI types you can use to generate content: Davinci and Curie. Davinci costs is the default option. Curie costs less credits to use, but the results will be of lower quality. You can read more about that here.

What types of credits are there?

The credits system uses three different types of credits. When working on AI content you can always see them neatly lined up to the top right of your window.

- Monthly credits: These are your default credits. When you generate AI content, these are the main credits that will be used. You get a set amount of these. At the beginning of each billing period, these will be filled up back to the maximum. In other words, do you have an Agency plan and did you sign up on January 1st? Then on February 1st, your total amount of monthly credits will be filled back up to 3000. You can see how many of these credits you get per plan here:

Top-up credits: Sometimes you may need to generate a lot of content in a small amount of time. In those cases, your monthly credits may not be enough. That's why we've added top-up credits. Essentially, these are extra credits you can purchase that will be used when you're out of monthly credits. These credits do not expire, and as soon as you have more monthly credits those will be used up first.
Refund credits: The AI does its best, but it's not perfect. Occasionally it may give you some results which simply aren't up to par. However, you are paying for good results, so we want to make sure you get those good results. That's why we've added refund credits. Did you generate some content that's simply not good? Just click the Refund credits* button and your last paid credits will be given back to you.

How many credits does it cost to generate content?

Different content requires different amounts of AI power to generate. Since we want to be as fair as possible with these credits, we've made it so that each type of content only costs as many credits as necessary.

When you're about to generate copy, the button will show you how many credits it will cost. Every click of the button will cost the amount of credits shown. In other words, for the amount shown you will get seven pieces of unique copy. For a full overview of the amount of credits required for any given content, check the table below.

How many credits do I have?

You can see how many of each type of credits you have on any of the AI content screens. Here, there's a small red box, as pointed out in the screenshot below.

The numbers in the boxes represents how many credits of the correlating type you have.

How do I get additional characters?

You can get credits in one of two ways:

At the start of each billing period: On the first day of every billing period we'll fill your amount of monthly credits back up to 500 (Pro), 1250 (Business) or 3000 (Agency).

By purchasing top-up credits: Need to generate more content with the AI right away? Then you can buy additional top-up credits to use.

Why do I need to buy additional credits?

To create this copywriting AI, we've partnered with OpenAI. The system runs on their GPT-3 technology. This is one of the most advanced and efficient neural networks out there, so we can guarantee you the best results possible.

However, this also means that every time you generate something with the AI, we are essentially making use of their network to do so. As you may expect, that isn't free.

OpenAI charges us per character we enter into their AI. We can offer you a solid amount of "AI power" for no extra cost. However, there's a limit to what we can offer before it becomes too expensive for us to cover. That's why we need to sell additional characters for a fee.

This fee is very close to the rate that we are charged for generating your content, because we only want to charge what's fair.

How do I buy more credits?

To buy more characters, go to an AI content screen, and click the yellow top-up credits box.

You will be prompted with this pop-up. Click the green Purchase top-up credits here button.

You will be taken to this screen.

Choose the amount of characters you want to purchase. There are six different options available, so choose whichever one fits your situation best.

Hit the 'Purchase' button for your choice. You will get a confirmation window. Click 'Yes, continue'

Your purchase will now be processed. We will automatically charge the amount via the payment method you've set up for your regular subscription costs.

When finished, your credits will automatically be added to your total. You are now ready to generate more AI powered content.

How do I use the Refund credits?

Got some very poor results and want the credits you just used back? No problem. Simply hover over the result you are unhappy with. A handful of buttons will appear. Click the Refund button. The amount of credits that was used to generate this copy will now be refunded.

Keep in mind that every use of this feature costs a refund credit.

Are you looking for a monetary refund? Then please contact us via our livechat or email. We can help you out better from there.
